Motorola – 20th Anniversary Party Invitation

London’s hippest have been spotted carrying “brick” phones like it was the Eighties all over again. The Motorola DynaTACs were only cardboard replicas but partygoers at the Top Floor of Harvey Nichols were brandishing them as if they were the real things. Fibre designed the cut out and construct fakes as invites to Motorola’s event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the world’s first mobile phone. With so many Gordon Gekko wannabees attending, the bar looked like a scene from Wall Street.  And they weren’t the only ones waving it around – the Art Director’s Club of New York did too, giving it an award in 2004.
